Governments put women’s empowerment Centre Stage of the tourism agenda

The Centre Stage Project aims to put a focus on women’s empowerment within the tourism sector, including the involvement of public institutions and businesses, with the active support of civil society.

This UNWTO project was implemented in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jordan and Mexico during 2022 with the collaboration of National Tourism Administrations that have committed to improving the professional situation of women in tourism, leading efforts towards gender equality in the sector.
