Women in tourism: Costa Rican Institute of Tourism

The Centre Stage Project aims to advance women’s empowerment within the tourism sector, with the involvement of public institutions, diverse tourism businesses and the active support of civil society.

This UNWTO project is being implemented in Costa Rica during 2022 in close cooperation with the Institute of Tourism (ICT) through strategic actions that include technical trainings, collection of sex - disaggregated data and the strengthening of corporate policies.
